With the TIM Proofreading-Client, we offer you a tool that makes your cross-site proofreading process redefined and easy to use: The editor and the proof-reader exchange the documents to be released via the internet – at any time and any place all over the world. Your editing process will become manageable and predictable and therefore, the entire editing process. Save time and your date of publication and delivery is ensured.

Quick proofreading over the web

The editor uses the XML authoring and content management system TIM-RS to create and modify the operating instructions, manuals and other documents. After having completed the processing of the documents, they have yet to be proofread before they can be translated for the target market in the target language. This editing process is automated in TIM-RS, TIM-Services provides documents in PDF format on the Internet, the editor is freed up to take on new tasks.

The proof-reader uses standard browser

The proof-reader can carry out his editorial duties at any time, at any place all over the world. He is using the TIM Proofreading-Client in his standard browser. With a modern web interface it is intuitive to handle. The documents to be released will be displayed to the proof-reader and for the proofreading he downloads the corresponding PDF-file. Herein, all modifications are highlighted in color so that the reader only has to check these passages. He writes his modifications and comments directly in PDF. After work, he has to upload the PDF-file again. The editor is automatically informed about suggested corrections.
