Fischer Computertechnik introduces with TIM 4.0 a new generation of its Authoring and Content Management System on the market. At the same time the FISCHER COMPUTERTECHNIK FCT (AG) was founded to be equipped growth-oriented for an innovative future. The Chairman Dr. Walter Fischer, mathematician, founded the company in 1985 and let FCT in almost 30 years to one of the leading software producer for authoring and content management systems. Vice Chairman Rainer Börsig, computer scientist (FH) has been with Fischer Computertechnik for 20 years and as head of development has driven forward the continuous development of the authoring and content management system TIM-RS® for more than 15 years.
The Supervisory Board of FISCHER COMPUTERTECHNIK FCT AG consists of Prof. Sissi Closs (Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board), professor of information and media technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Dr. Heribert J. Wiedenhues (Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board), industrial engineer and former chairman of the ThyssenKrupp Engineering AG and Carl Pfeffer, Chairman of the Management Board of the Aluminium-Werke Wutöschingen.
FISCHER COMPUTERTECHNIK FCT AG is launching the new generation TIM 4.0 - Technical Information Management - on the market. The Vice Chairman Rainer Börsig explains: „TIM 4.0 is our platform to implement solutions for the product communication 4.0 into the companies. The new software architecture of TIM 4.0 together with the new user interface ensures a pleasant usability. With TIM 4.0 we offer in particular for smart and medium-sized companies intelligent solutions to create product publications simply, quickly and gladly.“
The future project 'Industry 4.0', an offensive of the Federal Government and the German mechanical and plant engineering to secure and to expand Germany to one of the leading production sites places new demands on the product communication. The ‘Internet of Things’ as Industry 4.0 is also named, demands an intelligent fragmentation of all product information. The objective is to have information for operating, functions, properties, installation, maintenance or also marketing information available at any time, at any place according to the situation across the different media. Fischer Computertechnik summarizes this challenge as 'Product Communication 4.0'.
The customers were able to gain a first impression of the new platform TIM 4.0 on the occasion of the TIM-RS® User-Meeting 2013 in Konstanz, and they were impressed. The new Generation TIM 4.0 will be presented to the public for the first time on the tc world conference from November 6th to 8th, 2013 in Wiesbaden – Hall 1, Booth 106.
