Quick finding and therefore, efficient and targeted reuse of information determine the success of an editorial solution. The basis is the unique TIM-Metadata concept and information model manages and classifies objects like graphics, modules, units of meaning etc. that TIM-RS® makes them immediately available for reuse on the right place and in the context.

Branches or subsidiaries abroad can just use a web browser to have access to all current editorial objects in TIM-RS® - from texts, images, graphics to finished documents. In addition, the editing process is ensured company-wide in an easy way.
TIM-RS® always knows which modules are already translated into the target language and which modules are to be translated yet. TIM-RS® supports the seamless translation process based on XML with translation memory systems or on our translation tool TIM-EasyTrans, in which several target languages can be charged at the same time, and various reference materials (XML, HTML, PDF, etc.), can be put at disposal to the translator.

TIM-RS® takes on the media-neutral, enterprise-wide information management modules, images and documents in the integrated document management and image database in order to reuse them flexibly in publications. TIM-RS manages MS Office documents e. g. Word® and PowerPoint® as well as photos and graphics in various formats, e. g. JPG, GIF, SVG.
2005
The TIM-RS® variant management takes into consideration several variants or validity of the documentation. On the one hand, these are product variants (e. g., propulsion, lubricants, cooling system), on the other hand various target groups (e. g., operating manual, service manual, installation manual) as well as country-specific versions for the target markets.
2006
TIM is the central hub in marketing and technical documentation for the comprehensive information management for product catalogs, data sheets and instruction manuals. Since 2006, the XML editing and content management system TIM-RS® and the product information management TIM-PDO, the cross-sector information management in the pre-and after-sales services and, therefore, support the simple and integrated production of marketing materials and technical documentation including translation and proofreading.
2007
On the basis of the manufacturing and engineering part lists or the product configurator the XML generator TIM-XGEN, the "publishing engine" of Fischer Computertechnik, generates price lists, data sheets, catalogs, product overviews etc. of existing data sources such as SAP or other ERP systems, CRM systems, databases and the content management system TIM-RS®.
TIM-RS® integrates Adobe InDesign® as publishing tool, particularly for the creation of data sheets, product catalogs and other marketing materials and documents for training as well as service manuals and therefore, ensures an efficient publication process.
2008
One of the strengths of TIM-RS® in the field of machine and plant construction is the organization and management of supply modules in all common data formats (XML, Word®, Excel®, PDF), in various versions and page sizes as well as the automatic generation of a complete documentation including contents , index and continuous page numbering.
With acrolinx, the integrated authoring support with linguistic intelligence, we ensure already when creating the modules that they are linguistically and stylistically correct and that they suit for an efficient translation and re-use: quality assurance in practice.
Check the efficiency of your systematic authoring. The TIM key-figure-module provides key figures such as the reuse rate, the frequency of changes, for completeness, lead times, cost or availability in languages. Take advantage of these key figures of the system and get to know your success factors.

By the seamless integration of the central project management platform of the Langenscheidt Translation Services the translation process for TIM-RS®-Users is getting easier, fast and reliable. Before placing an order for a translation the estimated costs can be calculated by using the integrated price calculator. Therefore, the costs are transparent.
TIM-XMAX heißt der integrierte, leistungsfähige und benutzerfreundliche XML-Editor in TIM-RS®. Er basiert auf XMAX aus dem Hause JustSystems und wurde von Fischer Computertechnik speziell für TIM-RS® weiterentwickelt. Mit der neuen Benutzeroberfläche wird das Erfassen auch in der XML-Umgebung intuitiv und einfach.
TIM-EasyTrans is the new, simple translation tool especially for in-house translation. This allows that in the company and in the offices, the XML modules pre-translated in TIM-RS® can be handled easily. Therefore, a consistent XML translation process is ensured, independent of workplaces and locations.

By „TIM@Word-Providing" we offer a solution to integrate Word-information from the development department into the technical documentation.
A bi-crectional integration between our content management system TIM-RS® and the Catalog Creator, the spare parts catalog of TID Informatik GmbH. Both systems are coordinated so that there is delivered an instruction manual and a spare parts catalog for every product and every which are linked.
The Package "TIM@Risikobeurteilung" includes all necessary tools in order to create and manage risk assessments independently by the help of TIM-RS®.
